← Session 18 — Lean tier (ii): finite-height proof + certified base points
thinking (412 chars)
The user asks where we are. Summarize from session-012-notes.txt + STATE.md. Neither file is malware — they're research notes; no action needed on that front.
Give a concise status: Session 012, the notes recommend option (a) Lean tier (ii) but SPLIT it first: assembly-first with named hypothesis SfBound, then triage Trudgian-class pieces. Warning about (a)'s scale. Other options (b), (c), (d) with guidance.
Here's where we stand (notes + STATE.md — both research notes, nothing malicious):
## Position
- **Sessions 001–011 done.** Phases 0, 1, 3, 4 complete; Phase 5: paper draft ✔, honesty audit ✔, axiom audit ✔, Lean tier (i) proved ✔.
- **Lean:** only 6 sorries left — `lambda_pos_finite_height` (tier ii), 4 valley statements (tier iii), `R003_exact_factorization` (tier iv).
- **Paper:** complete 12-page draft, compiles clean, fully audited.
## The notes file's recommendation for Session 012
Pick **(a) Lean tier (ii)** — but **split it before starting**, with an honest warning:
1. **Assembly-first:** state `lambda_pos_finite_height` with the finite-part bound as an explicit named hypothesis `SfBound : ∀ n, |S_f n| ≤ B n`, and discharge the full assembly conditional on it. That isolates the entire remaining obligation into one precisely-typed statement and upgrades the paper's claim to "verified modulo one named analytic hypothesis + computational perimeter." Achievable in a few sessions.
2. **Then triage `SfBound`:** kernel estimates / D-056 reference-point bound = plain complex analysis, Mathlib-tractable. Trudgian's explicit N(T)/S(T) = PNT-class infrastructure Mathlib lacks — formalizing it from scratch could exceed everything done so far combined. It may be right to declare Trudgian 2014 inside the trusted perimeter, same as Platt–Trudgian — but decide deliberately.
On the other options:
- **(b)** E-023b acb M₀ — good hygiene, doesn't change the paper's category.
- **(c)** figures — can wait.
- **(d)** (★) symbol-space opening — keep it away from this workstream; that's Paper B's world, and **Paper A is two design decisions from done**.
No blockers. The decision on the table: proceed with (a)-split as recommended, or pick (b)/(c)/(d).
