Two errors left:
1. **Line 206**: `(h1' (by omega)).elim` — the `by omega` is supposed to prove `1 < j + 2` — "No usable constraints found" — WAIT. If h1' : ¬(1 < j + 2), then h1' (proof : 1 < j + 2) : False. The by omega proving `1 < j + 2` — that's a POSITIVE arithmetic goal with NO hypotheses — omega should do it instantly. "No usable constraints" — this suggests the by-omega's goal is NOT `1 < j + 2` — because h1''s type after rw [Finset.mem_range] at h1' — maybe h1' is not ¬(1 < j + 2)! Maybe Finset.mem_range rewrote h1' : 1 ∉ range (j+2) into ¬(1 < j+2)... or maybe h1' was `1 ∉ Finset.range (j + 2)` and mem_range's rw made it `1 < j + 2 → False`?? Both fine for application. Hmm — unless the rw failed to change anything because h1' was already `1 < j + 2 → False` and the application `h1' (by omega)` — the by omega goal IS `1 < j + 2` — hmm that should work!!
Wait — "No usable constraints found" — omega says this when the goal is not in its fragment. `1 < j + 2` with j : ℕ — that IS omega's fragment! Unless... the `j` here is not ℕ! Look at the context: this is inside hsum's `Finset.sum_eq_single 1` — j : ℕ (the theorem's parameter). Hmm.
OR — maybe the goal of the by-omega block is the FULL summand-equals-zero goal! Because h1' might be of type `1 ∈ range (j+2) → False` and after my rw, if Finset.mem_range rewrote h1' — no... OR maybe the third component of sum_eq_single ISN'T `a ∉ s → f a = 0` — maybe in this Mathlib version sum_eq_single's third hypothesis is different and after `intro h1'`, h1' has some other type entirely, making `h1' (by omega)` elaborate the by-omega against a WRONG expected type. The error at 206:21 — column 21 — that's the `by omega` inside `(h1' (by omega)).elim` — the by omega's expected type comes from h1's domain — if h1' : (something not arithmetic) → X, then by omega gets a non-arithmetic goal → "no usable constraints" ✓ CONSISTENT. So h1' is NOT ¬(1 < j+2). Let me check sum_eq_single's actual signature in this Mathlib.
2. **Line 248**: mono_left produced Tendsto (1+·) (𝓝[?m] 0) (𝓝 (1+0)) — TWO issues: (a) nhdsWithin_le_nhds's instance is a metavariable ?m — nhdsWithin_le_nhds : 𝓝[s] x ≤ 𝓝 x — the `s` is implicit and should unify with {0}ᶜ — it stayed a metavariable because the EXPECTED type's (𝓝[≠] 0) wasn't used to guide (exact checks after elaboration — the nhdsWithin_le_nhds has {s := ?m} — unification with the expected 𝓝[≠] 0 = 𝓝[{0}ᶜ] 0 should set ?m := {0}ᶜ... but ALSO (b) the target (𝓝 (1+0)) vs 𝓝 1 mismatch — 1+0 didn't reduce. Hmm — the metavariable ?m.205 suggests the application didn't fully unify. Fix: give the Tendsto target type explicitly:
```lean
exact (hc.tendsto.mono_left (nhdsWithin_le_nhds (s := {0}ᶜ) ...))
```
ugh — simpler: `show` the type first:
```lean
have h1 : Tendsto (fun s : ℂ => 1 + s) (𝓝 0) (𝓝 1) := hc.tendsto
exact h1.mono_left nhdsWithin_le_nhds
```
h1's stated type pins (𝓝 1) — hc.tendsto : Tendsto ... (𝓝 (1+0)) — ascription defeq ✓. Then h1.mono_left nhdsWithin_le_nhds : Tendsto ... (𝓝[?s] 0) (𝓝 1) — the expected (𝓝[≠] 0) — the `exact` unification: nhdsWithin_le_nhds : 𝓝[s] x ≤ 𝓝 x — mono_left h1 (that) : Tendsto f (𝓝[s] 0) (𝓝 1) — unify with expected Tendsto f (𝓝[≠] 0) (𝓝 1): 𝓝[≠] 0 is 𝓝[{0}ᶜ] 0 — sets s := {0}ᶜ ✓ should unify now that everything else is pinned. The earlier failure had 𝓝 (1+0) vs 𝓝 1 also blocking. With h1 ascribed, it should work. Hmm — but why didn't the defeq 1+0 = 1 fire before? `exact hc.tendsto` directly against 𝓝 1: hc.tendsto : ... 𝓝 (1+0) — the nhds argument 1+0 vs 1: defeq — exact uses isDefEq — should have worked... the error suggests it didn't reduce. Maybe because the elaboration order: the `apply` created the goal with the (𝓝 1) — and exact hc.tendsto — isDefEq (𝓝 (1+0)) (𝓝 1) — nhds is a function call nhds (1+0) vs nhds 1 — isDefEq should reduce 1+0 → 1 via OfNat/HAdd instance... `1 + 0` for ℂ: HAdd.hAdd 1 0 → Monoid.npow? no — 1 + 0 in ℂ: the OfNat literals + ring's HAdd — 1 + 0 doesn't reduce definitionally to 1!! (For ℂ, 1 + 0 is an application of the ℂ-addition — NOT a reduction to 1 by computation — because ℂ's OfNat 1 is Complex.mk of reals and the addition is a function — 1 + 0 computes?? Complex.add_re/im — (1+0).re = 1.re + 0.re = 1 + 0 (real) — still not 1 definitionally — real 1+0 IS 1 by... no — even for ℝ, 1 + 0 reduces? ℝ's addition is opaque (quotient/Cauchy construction) — 1 + 0 ≠ 1 definitionally!) Right — `1 + 0 = 1` is not defeq for ℝ/ℂ — needs `add_zero` simp. That's why. So the ascription `have h1 : Tendsto ... (𝓝 0) (𝓝 1) := hc.tendsto` — will THAT typecheck? hc.tendsto : Tendsto f (𝓝 0) (𝓝 (1+0)) — vs ascribed (𝓝 1) — nhds (1+0) vs nhds 1 — needs isDefEq (1+0) 1 — NOT defeq (as argued) — so the ascription FAILS too! Use simpa:
```lean
have h1 : Tendsto (fun s : ℂ => 1 + s) (𝓝 0) (𝓝 1) := by
simpa using hc.tendsto
```
simpa normalizes 1+0 → 1 in hc.tendsto's type ✓ then matches. This was my ORIGINAL form which errored — the earlier error was "after simplification term has type 𝓝 1 but expected 𝓝[≠] 0"-form... because the goal then was the nhdsWithin form (from the bad apply). Now: simpa for h1 (plain nhds) ✓ then mono_left:
```lean
exact h1.mono_left nhdsWithin_le_nhds
```
the mono_left: h1.mono_left (nhdsWithin_le_nhds) — nhdsWithin_le_nhds {s} {x} : 𝓝[s] x ≤ 𝓝 x — ?s, ?x implicit — from the expected type Tendsto f (𝓝[≠] 0) (𝓝 1): mono_left h1 ?le : Tendsto f ?l (𝓝 1) with ?l ≤ 𝓝 0 — nhdsWithin_le_nhds : 𝓝[?s] 0 ≤ 𝓝 0 — so ?l := 𝓝[?s] 0 — unify 𝓝[?s] 0 with 𝓝[≠] 0 = 𝓝[{0}ᶜ] 0 ✓ ?s := {0}ᶜ ✓ should work now.
Actually even simpler: skip h1:
```lean
exact (by simpa using hc.tendsto : Tendsto (fun s : ℂ => 1 + s) (𝓝 0) (𝓝 1)).mono_left nhdsWithin_le_nhds
```
— cleaner to keep the have. Fine.
3. The sum_eq_single third-goal issue — let me check the signature.
