The strings decode correctly now: - `\u2014` is the em-dash — decoded properly from `\xe2\x80\x94` UTF-8 bytes. - The commit messages genuinely use a straight apostrophe `ii'-3a` (git log confirms raw bytes `ii'-3a` — interesting, the actual commits used a plain apostrophe, not U+2032; whatever, decoding works). - The earlier `` in console output was just my shell's display mangling, not the data. So the fix works: UTF-8 decoding now handles the em-dash bytes that killed cp1252 (0x94 is also undefined in cp1252? Actually cp1252 maps 0x94 to „; 0x9d was the failing byte from some other char — maybe a "”" (E2 80 9D) in another commit message within the last 12... doesn't matter, all UTF-8 now decodes). Now restart the server: find PID on port 8001, taskkill, then healthcheck --restart (detached spawn — sandbox disabled).
Fix confirmed working — `\u2014` (em-dash) decodes properly now (the earlier `` was just my console's display mangling). Now restarting the server: kill the process on port 8001, then healthcheck brings it back detached.
