Recorded. E-002 still running in background. Reply briefly — yes we can use CUDA where it helps; noted honestly where it doesn't; logged in STATE.md + memory.
Recorded — your GPU is now part of the project's permanent notes (STATE.md + my long-term memory), so every future session will design scripts with it in mind. To set expectations honestly: **Where CUDA will genuinely help us:** - Large Fourier/explicit-formula sums (millions of terms, embarrassingly parallel) - Li coefficient accumulation to n ~ 10⁵+ (Phase 3) - Very large Gabor/Weil matrix constructions if we scale beyond the sandbox **Where it won't (being straight with you):** - The current zero computation: `mpmath.zetazero` is arbitrary-precision and inherently sequential per zero — GPUs are poor at that. The real speedup there is your **16 CPU cores** via multiprocessing (we'd get ~10-16×). The current run is already underway, so we'll let it finish as-is. - float64 eigensolvers: consumer RTX cards run FP64 at 1/64 rate, so your 16-core CPU often matches it — I'll benchmark before choosing, per the note I saved. When a GPU-worthy stage arrives (Phase 1 SDP numerics and Phase 3 Li coefficients are the prime candidates), I'll script it with CuPy or PyTorch CUDA and we'll put the 4090 to work.
