The display shows `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — the `im ⁻¹'` — that's from the ×ℂ/Rectangle component! So the failing goal is NOT my hi — it's the Rectangle membership component in the FORWARD direction's ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩ — the second ?_ of the outer ⟨⟩ (the zetaA one? no — the display case is "mpr.inl" — the forward-left case). Hmm wait — the hi I wrote: `have hi : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im := by rw [...]; exact abs_le.mp himT; exact hi` — the `exact hi` AFTER the have — the goal after the have is the second component `s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im`?? — NO — the structure: I wrote

Hmm — but the Rectangle membership is `s ∈ Rectangle z w` which is `s ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]` — mem_reProdIm: re ∈ uIcc ∧ im ∈ uIcc. The refine ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩ expects (re-part ∧ im-part) ∧ zetaA-part. The first ?_ : re-part — but the display shows the error at the SECOND ?_ with target `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — that's `s ∈ (Complex.im ⁻¹' Icc (-T) T)`?? Hmm — `im ⁻¹'` — that's `Complex.im ⁻¹'` — preimage of an interval under im — that's how the ×ℂ's im-part displays when the set is `[[z.im, w.im]]` = uIcc... wait, `[[z.im, w.im]]` is `Set.uIcc z.im w.im` — and `×ℂ` with it: `s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im` — the error's target `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — hmm — maybe the Rectangle membership is `s ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]` and the SECOND component after my `refine ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩` — the ⟨?_, ?_⟩ destructures the ×ℂ into re-part and im-part — but the ×ℂ membership might destructure as `s ∈ re ⁻¹' A ∧ s ∈ im ⁻¹' B`?? — mem_reProdIm : z ∈ s ×ℂ t ↔ z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t — the components are z.re ∈ s / z.im ∈ t ✓ my hr/hi forms match. So why does the goal show `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T`?
OH WAIT — maybe the error is in the (−2) FORWARD case (mpr.inl is the forward-left?): "case mpr.inl" — mpr is the BACKWARD direction (the second constructor of the ↔: mpr = ←)! `constructor; · intro hs (forward/mp); · intro ⟨hmem, hzA⟩ (backward/mpr)`. case mpr.inl — the backward direction's LEFT subcase (nontrivial branch — the `left` in zeroBothWindow). So the failing goal is in the backward direction: `apply (zeroBothWindow_finite T).mem_toFinset.mpr; refine ⟨hnt, ?_⟩` — the ?_ : |s.im| ≤ T — my code:
```lean
apply (zeroBothWindow_finite T).mem_toFinset.mpr
refine ⟨hnt, ?_⟩
have hi := hmem.2
rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc] at hi
```
The error at 261:52: the pattern `?m ∈ Set.Icc ?a ?b` not found in `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — hi := hmem.2 : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im?? — hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w: hmem.2 : the second component — is it s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im or s ∈ im ⁻¹' ...? The Rectangle membership `s ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]` — mem_reProdIm form: ⟨s.re ∈ uIcc, s.im ∈ uIcc⟩? But the error display shows `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — so hmem.2's type is `s ∈ Complex.im ⁻¹' (Set.Icc (-T) T)`?? That means Rectangle z w's im-part is `im ⁻¹' (uIcc z.im w.im)` NOT `s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im`! Because ×ℂ is reProdIm defined via Preimage?: `s ∈ A ×ℂ B ↔ s ∈ re ⁻¹' A ∧ s ∈ im ⁻¹' B`?? — mem_reProdIm says z ∈ s ×ℂ t ↔ z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t — but the RAW form (hmem.2's type before mem_reProdIm is applied) is the preimage form: `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — and hmem.2 has that preimage type! So `rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, ...] at hi` — hi : s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.uIcc z.im w.im: rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him] at hi: s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc z.im w.im: rw [rectZ_im, rectW_im] at hi: s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (−T) T ✓ (that's the display). rw [Set.mem_Icc] at hi: FAILS because hi's membership is `s ∈ im ⁻¹' (Set.Icc ...)` — the mem_Icc pattern `?m ∈ Set.Icc ?a ?b` — the target `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — the mem is `s ∈ (im ⁻¹' X)` — defeq to `s.im ∈ X`?? Set.mem_preimage : x ∈ f ⁻¹' s ↔ f x ∈ s — defeq! So hi : s ∈ im ⁻¹' Icc (−T) T IS defeq to s.im ∈ Icc (−T) T. Fix: change hi to the direct form first:
```lean
have hi : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im := hmem.2
```
(defeq assignment ✓) then rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc] at hi; exact abs_le.mpr hi.
Wait — but hmem.2's RAW type is the preimage form; assigning it to `s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im` — defeq ✓.
Hmm — but actually — hold on: is hmem.2's type really the preimage form? Rectangle z w = [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]] — the ×ℂ membership: s ∈ reProdIm (uIcc z.re w.re) (uIcc z.im w.im) — mem_reProdIm gives ⟨s.re ∈ ..., s.im ∈ ...⟩ — hmem.1 : s.re ∈ uIcc z.re w.re, hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im — if that's the case, hmem.2's type IS s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im, not the preimage form... But the error display `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — maybe hmem isn't the reProdIm membership but something else. `Set.uIcc` — [[a, b]] is uIcc — and hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w — from the hSz's second component of the ∧: hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w ∧ zetaA s = 0 — hmem.2 : s.im ∈ ...?? NO WAIT — hmem is the FIRST component: `intro ⟨hmem, hzA⟩` — hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w — and hmem.2 : the second component of the Rectangle membership (which is an And: re-part ∧ im-part) ✓ hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im...
Hmm — unless Rectangle z w's membership destructures differently: Rectangle z w = [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]: s ∈ it ↔ s.re ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ∧ s.im ∈ [[z.im, w.im]] via mem_reProdIm — hmem.1 : s.re ∈ uIcc z.re w.re — WAIT: [[z.re, w.re]] is Set.uIcc (z.re) (w.re) — and hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im — but the ERROR's hi has type `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — after my `rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc] at hi` — the first three rws worked (uIcc → Icc, z.im → −T, w.im → T) giving `s.im ∈ Set.Icc (-T) T` — and the display `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — the `im ⁻¹'` appeared — meaning Set.mem_Icc rewrote BACKWARD?? no — Set.mem_Icc : a ∈ Icc b c ↔ b ≤ a ∧ a ≤ c — rw at hi: s.im ∈ Icc (−T) T → −T ≤ s.im ∧ s.im ≤ T ✓ — that's what I want... The error says the PATTERN wasn't found in `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — so hi's type at the Set.mem_Icc rewrite was `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — the preimage form! So hmem.2's type WAS the preimage form `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.uIcc z.im w.im` all along, and the uIcc_of_le/rectZ_im/rectW_im rewrites worked INSIDE the preimage ✓, and Set.mem_Icc failed because of the preimage wrapper.
Wait — why is hmem.2's type the preimage form? Because `Rectangle z w` membership via mem_reProdIm — hmm — mem_reProdIm : z ∈ s ×ℂ t ↔ z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t — if hmem's membership was destructured via this iff, hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im. But the display shows preimage — so Rectangle's membership was NOT destructured via mem_reProdIm — it must be that `intro ⟨hmem, hzA⟩` gave hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w and hmem.1/hmem.2 are the And components of the reProdIm membership — reProdIm s t = {z | z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t}?? — that's the SET-DEF form: membership IS the And with z.re/z.im applied — hmem.1 : s.re ∈ uIcc z.re w.re — no preimage there...
Hmm — actually reProdIm's def (from Mathlib Data/Complex/Basic:110): `def reProdIm (s t : Set ℝ) : Set ℂ := {z | z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t}`?? or via preimage: `reProdIm s t = re ⁻¹' s ∩ im ⁻¹' t`? If the latter, membership is `(s.re ∈ ...) ∧ (s.im ∈ ...)`?? — mem_reProdIm's statement says z ∈ s ×ℂ t ↔ z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t — so the membership reduces to that And — hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im...
The display: `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — hmm — `im ⁻¹'` — maybe it's `Set.uIcc z.im w.im` where z.im/w.im were rewritten to −T/T, and `Set.Icc` — and `im ⁻¹'` — OH WAIT. Maybe the issue is hmem isn't a tuple — `intro ⟨hmem, hzA⟩` — hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w — and in the backward direction I need to show s ∈ zeroBothWindow: ⟨hnt, |s.im| ≤ T⟩ — the im bound from hmem: the Rectangle membership: `s ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]` — I need hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im — but `Rectangle z w` is a def — hmem.2 tries to project it as an And — if Rectangle z w's membership is NOT syntactically an And (it's a def membership), hmem.2 fails?? no — it elaborated (the error is at the rw, not the projection).
OK — the pragmatic fix (defeq assignment):
```lean
have hi : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im := hmem.2
rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc] at hi
exact abs_le.mpr hi
```
If hmem.2's type is the preimage form `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.uIcc z.im w.im`, the defeq assignment to `s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im` works (Set.mem_preimage is defeq: x ∈ f ⁻¹' s ≡ f x ∈ s ✓). Then the rws work on the clean form.
Similarly — the first error (line 209) — the hs1 fix with ▸.
Let me also double-check the forward direction's Rectangle construction (⟨hr, hi⟩): the goal is s ∈ Rectangle z w — refine ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩ — the first ⟨?_, ?_⟩ is the reProdIm membership And — hr : s.re ∈ uIcc z.re w.re ✓ hi : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im ✓ — defeq assignment into the membership ✓ should be fine (as h1mem showed — that worked ✓ since h1mem built fine? — h1mem's exact ⟨hr, hi⟩ — did it build? The current errors are only at 209 and 261, so h1mem built ✓).
Two fixes: the hs1 projections and the preimage-form of hmem.2.

Hmm wait — the hi I wrote: `have hi : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im := by rw [...]; exact abs_le.mp himT; exact hi` — the `exact hi` AFTER the have — the goal after the have is the second component `s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im`?? — NO — the structure: I wrote\n```lean\n refine ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩\n · have hr : s.re ∈ Set.uIcc z.re w.re := by ...\n exact hr\n · have hi : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im := by\n rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc]\n exact abs_le.mp himT\n exact hi\n · rw [zetaA_apply hs1, hnt.1, mul_zero]\n```\nWait no — looking at my actual code (line ~250-262):\n```lean\n refine ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩\n · have hr : s.re ∈ Set.uIcc z.re w.re := by\n rw [Set.uIcc_of_le hre, rectZ_re, rectW_re, Set.mem_Icc]\n exact ⟨by linarith [hnt.2.1], by linarith [hnt.2.2, ...]⟩\n exact hr\n · have hi : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im := by\n rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc]\n exact abs_le.mp himT\n exact hi\n```\nHmm — but the Rectangle membership is `s ∈ Rectangle z w` which is `s ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]` — mem_reProdIm: re ∈ uIcc ∧ im ∈ uIcc. The refine ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩ expects (re-part ∧ im-part) ∧ zetaA-part. The first ?_ : re-part — but the display shows the error at the SECOND ?_ with target `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — that's `s ∈ (Complex.im ⁻¹' Icc (-T) T)`?? Hmm — `im ⁻¹'` — that's `Complex.im ⁻¹'` — preimage of an interval under im — that's how the ×ℂ's im-part displays when the set is `[[z.im, w.im]]` = uIcc... wait, `[[z.im, w.im]]` is `Set.uIcc z.im w.im` — and `×ℂ` with it: `s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im` — the error's target `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — hmm — maybe the Rectangle membership is `s ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]` and the SECOND component after my `refine ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩` — the ⟨?_, ?_⟩ destructures the ×ℂ into re-part and im-part — but the ×ℂ membership might destructure as `s ∈ re ⁻¹' A ∧ s ∈ im ⁻¹' B`?? — mem_reProdIm : z ∈ s ×ℂ t ↔ z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t — the components are z.re ∈ s / z.im ∈ t ✓ my hr/hi forms match. So why does the goal show `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T`?\n\nOH WAIT — maybe the error is in the (−2) FORWARD case (mpr.inl is the forward-left?): \"case mpr.inl\" — mpr is the BACKWARD direction (the second constructor of the ↔: mpr = ←)! `constructor; · intro hs (forward/mp); · intro ⟨hmem, hzA⟩ (backward/mpr)`. case mpr.inl — the backward direction's LEFT subcase (nontrivial branch — the `left` in zeroBothWindow). So the failing goal is in the backward direction: `apply (zeroBothWindow_finite T).mem_toFinset.mpr; refine ⟨hnt, ?_⟩` — the ?_ : |s.im| ≤ T — my code:\n```lean\n apply (zeroBothWindow_finite T).mem_toFinset.mpr\n refine ⟨hnt, ?_⟩\n have hi := hmem.2\n rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc] at hi\n exact abs_le.mpr hi\n```\nThe error at 261:52: the pattern `?m ∈ Set.Icc ?a ?b` not found in `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — hi := hmem.2 : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im?? — hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w: hmem.2 : the second component — is it s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im or s ∈ im ⁻¹' ...? The Rectangle membership `s ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]` — mem_reProdIm form: ⟨s.re ∈ uIcc, s.im ∈ uIcc⟩? But the error display shows `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — so hmem.2's type is `s ∈ Complex.im ⁻¹' (Set.Icc (-T) T)`?? That means Rectangle z w's im-part is `im ⁻¹' (uIcc z.im w.im)` NOT `s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im`! Because ×ℂ is reProdIm defined via Preimage?: `s ∈ A ×ℂ B ↔ s ∈ re ⁻¹' A ∧ s ∈ im ⁻¹' B`?? — mem_reProdIm says z ∈ s ×ℂ t ↔ z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t — but the RAW form (hmem.2's type before mem_reProdIm is applied) is the preimage form: `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — and hmem.2 has that preimage type! So `rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, ...] at hi` — hi : s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.uIcc z.im w.im: rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him] at hi: s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc z.im w.im: rw [rectZ_im, rectW_im] at hi: s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (−T) T ✓ (that's the display). rw [Set.mem_Icc] at hi: FAILS because hi's membership is `s ∈ im ⁻¹' (Set.Icc ...)` — the mem_Icc pattern `?m ∈ Set.Icc ?a ?b` — the target `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — the mem is `s ∈ (im ⁻¹' X)` — defeq to `s.im ∈ X`?? Set.mem_preimage : x ∈ f ⁻¹' s ↔ f x ∈ s — defeq! So hi : s ∈ im ⁻¹' Icc (−T) T IS defeq to s.im ∈ Icc (−T) T. Fix: change hi to the direct form first:\n```lean\n have hi : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im := hmem.2\n```\n(defeq assignment ✓) then rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc] at hi; exact abs_le.mpr hi.\n\nWait — but hmem.2's RAW type is the preimage form; assigning it to `s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im` — defeq ✓.\n\nHmm — but actually — hold on: is hmem.2's type really the preimage form? Rectangle z w = [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]] — the ×ℂ membership: s ∈ reProdIm (uIcc z.re w.re) (uIcc z.im w.im) — mem_reProdIm gives ⟨s.re ∈ ..., s.im ∈ ...⟩ — hmem.1 : s.re ∈ uIcc z.re w.re, hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im — if that's the case, hmem.2's type IS s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im, not the preimage form... But the error display `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — maybe hmem isn't the reProdIm membership but something else. `Set.uIcc` — [[a, b]] is uIcc — and hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w — from the hSz's second component of the ∧: hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w ∧ zetaA s = 0 — hmem.2 : s.im ∈ ...?? NO WAIT — hmem is the FIRST component: `intro ⟨hmem, hzA⟩` — hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w — and hmem.2 : the second component of the Rectangle membership (which is an And: re-part ∧ im-part) ✓ hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im... \n\nHmm — unless Rectangle z w's membership destructures differently: Rectangle z w = [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]: s ∈ it ↔ s.re ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ∧ s.im ∈ [[z.im, w.im]] via mem_reProdIm — hmem.1 : s.re ∈ uIcc z.re w.re — WAIT: [[z.re, w.re]] is Set.uIcc (z.re) (w.re) — and hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im — but the ERROR's hi has type `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — after my `rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc] at hi` — the first three rws worked (uIcc → Icc, z.im → −T, w.im → T) giving `s.im ∈ Set.Icc (-T) T` — and the display `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — the `im ⁻¹'` appeared — meaning Set.mem_Icc rewrote BACKWARD?? no — Set.mem_Icc : a ∈ Icc b c ↔ b ≤ a ∧ a ≤ c — rw at hi: s.im ∈ Icc (−T) T → −T ≤ s.im ∧ s.im ≤ T ✓ — that's what I want... The error says the PATTERN wasn't found in `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — so hi's type at the Set.mem_Icc rewrite was `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — the preimage form! So hmem.2's type WAS the preimage form `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.uIcc z.im w.im` all along, and the uIcc_of_le/rectZ_im/rectW_im rewrites worked INSIDE the preimage ✓, and Set.mem_Icc failed because of the preimage wrapper.\n\nWait — why is hmem.2's type the preimage form? Because `Rectangle z w` membership via mem_reProdIm — hmm — mem_reProdIm : z ∈ s ×ℂ t ↔ z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t — if hmem's membership was destructured via this iff, hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im. But the display shows preimage — so Rectangle's membership was NOT destructured via mem_reProdIm — it must be that `intro ⟨hmem, hzA⟩` gave hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w and hmem.1/hmem.2 are the And components of the reProdIm membership — reProdIm s t = {z | z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t}?? — that's the SET-DEF form: membership IS the And with z.re/z.im applied — hmem.1 : s.re ∈ uIcc z.re w.re — no preimage there...\n\nHmm — actually reProdIm's def (from Mathlib Data/Complex/Basic:110): `def reProdIm (s t : Set ℝ) : Set ℂ := {z | z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t}`?? or via preimage: `reProdIm s t = re ⁻¹' s ∩ im ⁻¹' t`? If the latter, membership is `(s.re ∈ ...) ∧ (s.im ∈ ...)`?? — mem_reProdIm's statement says z ∈ s ×ℂ t ↔ z.re ∈ s ∧ z.im ∈ t — so the membership reduces to that And — hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im...\n\nThe display: `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.Icc (-T) T` — hmm — `im ⁻¹'` — maybe it's `Set.uIcc z.im w.im` where z.im/w.im were rewritten to −T/T, and `Set.Icc` — and `im ⁻¹'` — OH WAIT. Maybe the issue is hmem isn't a tuple — `intro ⟨hmem, hzA⟩` — hmem : s ∈ Rectangle z w — and in the backward direction I need to show s ∈ zeroBothWindow: ⟨hnt, |s.im| ≤ T⟩ — the im bound from hmem: the Rectangle membership: `s ∈ [[z.re, w.re]] ×ℂ [[z.im, w.im]]` — I need hmem.2 : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im — but `Rectangle z w` is a def — hmem.2 tries to project it as an And — if Rectangle z w's membership is NOT syntactically an And (it's a def membership), hmem.2 fails?? no — it elaborated (the error is at the rw, not the projection).\n\nOK — the pragmatic fix (defeq assignment):\n```lean\n have hi : s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im := hmem.2\n rw [Set.uIcc_of_le him, rectZ_im, rectW_im, Set.mem_Icc] at hi\n exact abs_le.mpr hi\n```\nIf hmem.2's type is the preimage form `s ∈ im ⁻¹' Set.uIcc z.im w.im`, the defeq assignment to `s.im ∈ Set.uIcc z.im w.im` works (Set.mem_preimage is defeq: x ∈ f ⁻¹' s ≡ f x ∈ s ✓). Then the rws work on the clean form.\n\nSimilarly — the first error (line 209) — the hs1 fix with ▸.\n\nLet me also double-check the forward direction's Rectangle construction (⟨hr, hi⟩): the goal is s ∈ Rectangle z w — refine ⟨⟨?_, ?_⟩, ?_⟩ — the first ⟨?_, ?_⟩ is the reProdIm membership And — hr : s.re ∈ uIcc z.re w.re ✓ hi : s.im ∈ uIcc z.im w.im ✓ — defeq assignment into the membership ✓ should be fine (as h1mem showed — that worked ✓ since h1mem built fine? — h1mem's exact ⟨hr, hi⟩ — did it build?
