Key findings:
1. `(starRingEnd ℂ).injective` — elaborates to `RingHom.injective (starRingEnd ℂ) : Function.Injective ⇑(starRingEnd ℂ)` — so `.injective` resolves to RingHom.injective (starRingEnd IS a ring hom/equiv — it's ≃+* which has a RingHom parent). So `⟨(starRingEnd ℂ), RingHom.injective (starRingEnd ℂ)⟩` — but the elaboration of the anonymous ⟨⟩ for Function.Embedding failed earlier — maybe because `(starRingEnd ℂ).injective` elaborates fine but the embedding constructor... Actually now I see: `RingHom.injective (starRingEnd ℂ) : Function.Injective ⇑(starRingEnd ℂ)` — the function is `⇑(starRingEnd ℂ)` (the coe). The embedding `⟨(starRingEnd ℂ), proof⟩` — the toFun would be the equiv (coerced to fun). Should work — but my error was "Invalid ⟨...⟩ notation: expected type ?m.343 → ?m.344 is not an inductive type" — hmm, that error is about the anonymous constructor against a NON-structure expected type. Function.Embedding is a structure... unless `P.image` isn't Finset.image!
2. **`Finset.sum_image` in THIS Mathlib has a DIFFERENT signature**: `{g : κ → ι}, Set.InjOn g ↑s → ∑ x ∈ Finset.image g s, f x = ∑ x ∈ s, f (g x)` — it takes a PLAIN function g and Set.InjOn (not an embedding)! And `Finset.image` itself — its def in this Mathlib: Finset.image might take a plain function (not embedding)! In recent Mathlib, `Finset.image (f : α → β) (s : Finset α)` — plain function. So `P.image (starRingEnd ℂ)` — plain function — and `⟨(starRingEnd ℂ), inj⟩` is nonsense — THAT's the error ("expected type ?m.343 → ?m.344 is not an inductive type" — the plain function arrow, not a structure).
So: `P.image (starRingEnd ℂ)` — but (starRingEnd ℂ) is the equiv — need the bare function: `⇑(starRingEnd ℂ)` or `(starRingEnd ℂ : ℂ → ℂ)`. And the sum_image: `Finset.sum_image (h : Set.InjOn g ↑s) : ∑ x ∈ s.image g, f x = ∑ x ∈ s, f (g x)` ✓.
Also Finset.mem_image's form with plain function: `a ∈ s.image g ↔ ∃ x ∈ s, g x = a` ✓ same.
Fix:
```lean
have hNeq : N = P.image (starRingEnd ℂ) := by
ext ρ
rw [Finset.mem_image, ...]
...
have hNsum : (∑ ρ ∈ N, (zeroMult ρ : ℝ)) = ∑ ρ ∈ P, (zeroMult ρ : ℝ) := by
rw [hNeq, Finset.sum_image (fun ρ _ σ _ h => (starRingEnd ℂ).injective h)]
...
```
The InjOn: Set.InjOn (starRingEnd ℂ) ↑P: (starRingEnd ℂ).injective gives Function.Injective — Set.InjOn from global injective: `Set.InjOn f s := ∀ a ∈ s, ∀ b ∈ s, f a = f b → a = b`: `fun ρ _ σ _ h => (starRingEnd ℂ).injective h` ✓ (Function.Injective applied to h : f ρ = f σ gives ρ = σ ✓).
3. **h2not's `simp at h21`**: replace with `norm_num at h21`? h21 : (0:ℝ) < (−2:ℂ).re — (−2:ℂ).re = −2: 0 < −2: norm_num at h21 closes the False goal ✓ (norm_num derives False from 0 < −2). Or `exact absurd h21 (by norm_num)`. Use norm_num at h21.
4. **Finset.sum_union (Finset.disjoint_singleton.mpr h2not)** for the union-with-singleton.
Also `Finset.disjoint_singleton` — check it exists: `Finset.disjoint_singleton : Disjoint s {a} ↔ a ∉ s` — likely `Finset.disjoint_singleton_right/left`? In current Mathlib: `Finset.disjoint_singleton : Disjoint s {a} ↔ a ∉ s` — I believe exists (maybe `Finset.disjoint_singleton_right : Disjoint s {a} ↔ a ∉ s`). To be safe: build Disjoint directly:
```lean
have hdisj2 : Disjoint (zeroBothWindow_finite T).toFinset {(-2 : ℂ)} := by
rw [Finset.disjoint_left]
intro ρ hρ hρ2
rw [Finset.mem_singleton] at hρ2
rw [hρ2] at hρ
exact h2not hρ
```
That avoids the name issue.
`Finset.image` in this Mathlib takes a plain function + `Set.InjOn` (not an embedding). Fixing.
