Previous commits used "NGUYEN-RH-1 <research@local>" — but no user.name/email in local or global config now (weird — maybe previous sessions set it per-command via -c flags). I can commit with per-command identity (git -c user.name=... -c user.email=... commit) — that doesn't modify config, consistent with the rules and with prior session behavior.
