Timed out at 10 min — the run is too slow. Bottlenecks: sieve to 8.9M in pure Python (the while-loop over prime powers plus the outer Python loop over 8.9M) — that printed, so sieve finished? "sieving..." printed at start; nothing after. The smoke tests completed the sieve in reasonable time (they ran ~40s for a=2+configs... actually the smoke test DID complete with the sieve — took under 5 min). The full run: a-sweep {2,4,6,8} + h-conv {0.01,0.005,0.0025} + lambdas {−0.5,−1,−2} + thetas {0,π/2,π} — many configs, each rebuilding Q (S(k) for N up to 3200) and solving 3200² bordered systems. a=8: S for 3200 k's; h=0.0025 at a=4: N=3200 too. Big cost: S(k) python loop ~3200 × ~2-5ms = 10s each, plus solves. Total maybe 20-30 min. Also the a=4 h=0.005 config is computed FOUR times (sweep, h-conv, λ=−1 in sensitivity, θ=0 in sensitivity) — wasteful. Optimize: 1. Cache configs (dict keyed by (a,h) → build once, reuse across λ/θ). 2. Speed up S: vectorize across k? The quad loop per k is the bottleneck. Could batch: precompute ρ on a fine grid? No — that was the noise issue. Alternative: batch GL nodes across all k into one g_float call per... the mpmath lerch for t ≤ 0.35 is per-point Python — batch those too (they're only for k ≤ 70/h·... few). 3. Reduce scope: drop a=8 (a ≤ 6 needs e^12 sieve — faster), or coarser: keep a ∈ {2,4,6} (T_MAXG=12, sieve 162k — fast), h-conv at a=4 with {0.01, 0.005} only, lambdas {−0.5,−2}, thetas {0,π/2,π}. Also sieve speed: vectorize? Use sympy primerange? The current sieve: Python loop over 2..N with is_comp check — for 8.9M that's ~10-20s, OK, but the prime-power while loops are fine. Actually simplest speedup: limit a to 6 → N = 162k → sieve < 1s. Also add S caching across configs: same (a,h) reused. Let me restructure: build_once(a,h) returns dict; zeros computed from it per (λ,θ). Reduce A_SWEEP to {2,4,6} plus maybe 8 if time permits... keep {2,4,6,8} but with caching the a=4/h=0.005 reuse saves ~3 builds. Estimate per config build: a=8: N=3200, S loop ~15s + toeplitz + solves 3200² (~20s × 3 λ + ...). Hmm solves: one Cholesky per (a,h,λ): 3 λ values × 4 a + h-conv 2 extra + ... ~ 14 solves of up to 3200² — ~3-4 min total. S builds: 6 configs ~ 1-2 min. Total ~ 6 min. OK with caching. Rewrite main with build cache.
Timed out — too slow. Optimizing: cache (a,h) builds across λ/θ variants, restrict sieve to e^14 (a ≤ 7), drop redundant rebuilds.
