In isolation it works — σ_1 = 0.023095708966121033814 ✓ correct! But compute_eta printed σ_1 = 0.023095708966121031343?! Same code!!! The difference between my replication and the module's compute_eta... the module is exec'd with the FULL script — including P1 etc.? No — the harness execs the module (defines functions), then calls ns["compute_eta"](zeta_str, fd, zs). The module code doesn't run main(). Inside compute_eta, same operations as my replication. Yet different σ_1. WAIT — GAMMA_E! In the module, GAMMA_E is the module constant. In my replication I used the same string. Hmm. Actually — hold on: in the module, mp.mp.dps at ENTRY to compute_eta: after get_zeta_strings (cache hit — no dps change) — and after the MODULE-LEVEL code ran... module level: `import flint, mpmath as mp, numpy` + constants + `REPO = Path(__file__)...`. No dps set. So entry dps = 15. Then compute_eta: flint.ctx.prec = ...; mp.mp.dps = 293; gam_s...; mp.mp.dps = 243; tau[0]... Same as replication (entry dps 15 too). HMH!!! But replication σ_1 correct, module σ_1 wrong at 2.5e-21. THE PRINT! In the module: `print(f" sigma_1 = {mp.nstr(sigma[1], 20)} ...")` at mp.mp.dps = 60. nstr(sigma[1], 20) — 20 significant digits: 0.023095708966121033814 → nstr 20 = "0.023095708966121033814" (20 sig figs)... but the printout showed "0.023095708966121031343"?!?! That has 21 digits and differs from correct. nstr at dps 60 can't produce that from a correct mpf!!! UNLESS sigma[1] in the module is genuinely different. Hmm, wait — in the module, between the exact-σ loop and the print, there's `mp.mp.dps = 60` then sig1_known... then print. sigma[1] computed at dps 243 from tau[0] (dps 243) and mp.mpf(eta_str[0]) (dps 243) — all fine... OK one more possibility: in the module, eta_str[0] is WRONG at ~2.5e-21: η_0 = −γ_0 with gam_s[0] from flint stieltjes(0) at ctx.prec 1176 — in the MODULE, flint.ctx.prec was set... and mp.mp.dps = 293 BEFORE gam_s ✓ (the fix). eta_str[0] printed in the module run? The module prints "eta_0 = -0.577215664901533" — 15 digits, can't see 1e-21. AAARGH. Let me just add a debug print to the module's compute_eta temporarily... Actually, simpler: in the harness, monkeypatch — capture sigma from the module function? sigma is local. Let me just replicate EXACTLY, including calling via the module namespace but extracting locals... can't. Add a temporary debug print in the file, run, remove. Actually — better: run the module's compute_eta but with a wrapper that also re-prints sigma[1] afterwards at high precision... sigma isn't returned. Hmm — hold on, let me re-read the print output ONE MORE TIME: "sigma_1 = 0.023095708966121031343 (closed form 0.023095708966121033814)". Count digits of "0.023095708966121031343": 0.023095708966121031343 → sig digits: 23095708966121031343 = 20 digits. Correct σ_1 to 20 digits: 23095708966121033814. So printed σ_1's 20 digits = ...031343, correct = ...033814. So the VALUE is wrong at digit 18. nstr(sigma[1], 20): if sigma[1] were correct, nstr gives ...033814. So module's sigma[1] wrong at digit 18. tau[0] in module... OH!!!! WAIT!!! I see it!!! In the module, the sigma loop: for m in range(1, K_SPLIT + 1): sigma[m] = ((-1) ** (m - 1) * (tau[m - 1] - mp.mpf(eta_str[m - 1])) + 1) m=1: (−1)^0·(tau[0] − η_0) + 1 ✓. BUT tau dict: `tau = {0: ...}` then `for j in range(1, K_SPLIT): tau[j] = ...` → tau[0..23] ✓. Hmm ✓. And (−1)**(m−1) at m=1 = 1 ✓. Let me look at the ACTUAL BYTES of the module again — maybe the exec'd source differs from what I read (the harness read the file fresh each time ✓ same). You know what, let me just add the debug print into the actual file's compute_eta (temporary), run it, and look.
Replication works but the module doesn't — let me add a temporary debug line to the actual file.
