thinking (1354 chars)
User says: use a different port — port 8000 is for another service (PID 33528 on 0.0.0.0:8000 is their other service). Move the RH website to a different port, e.g. 8001 or 8765. Pick 8001.
Also this explains the earlier mystery? Not fully — the phantom child 7908 was spawned BY 36512 (parent). Interesting: Django 6.1 runserver with --noreload still spawns a child? Actually Django's runserver on Windows with threading... The child has same command line, parent = my server. That's Django's autoreload pattern even with --noreload? With --noreload, runserver calls `run(**options)` directly without spawning. But the observed child suggests Django 6.1 does spawn something (maybe the "daphne-like" threaded server or the new "runserver" spawns a subprocess for the actual server?). Whatever — it's Django's own child, benign. The real issue: port conflict with user's service.
So: kill both, change port to 8001 everywhere:
- healthcheck.py BASE
- watchdog.py port_listening
- RH-WEBSITE.md references (§6.2, health URL)
- Spawn command uses 127.0.0.1:8001
Files referencing 8000: healthcheck.py (BASE), watchdog.py (port_listening 8000), RH-WEBSITE.md (§6.1 curl, §6.2 command, build status "verified live at 127.0.0.1:8000"), lockcheck.py BASE.
Update all, then kill 36512+7908, spawn server on 8001, healthcheck, spawn watchdog, verify, commit.
Understood — moving the site to port 8001 everywhere (your 8000 service stays untouched). Updating all configs first.
