← Session 10 — Website planning + local dashboard build
thinking (175 chars)
All done. Lock check also re-verified on the new port (24.6s, no conflicts). Watchdog will make its first check after the 30s grace + will keep logging every 5 min. Summarize.
Done — the site moved to **http://127.0.0.1:8001** and your 8000 service is untouched. Committed `84a0d6a`.
## Monitoring (now running)
1. **`web/healthcheck.py`** — full check on demand: `/api/health` + all 20 routes + status-API freshness, with `--restart` to auto-revive. Logged to `web/logs/healthcheck.log`.
2. **`web/watchdog.py`** — always-on, running detached right now: every 5 minutes runs the health checks and restarts the server if it confirms the server is down (2 consecutive failures, after a boot grace period — hardened after I caught a startup race that spawned a duplicate server; cleaned up).
3. **My session-start protocol** (RH-WEBSITE.md §6.1) now requires: run healthcheck → verify watchdog alive → review feedback → one improvement per session.
4. **Lock-safety re-verified on the new port**: 24.6 s under load, zero writer conflicts.
## Improvements shipped this round
- **Home**: "Latest result" card is now pulled live from research.db — no longer hardcoded to R-004, so new results appear automatically.
- **Dashboard**: data-freshness line showing last-modified times of STATE.md, research.db, and agent.db, updated by the 3 s polling.
- **New chart**: E-017 thinning-remainder (live Suzuki front).
- **Improvement backlog** (RH-WEBSITE.md §7) so ideas are tracked between sessions: global research search, conversation-activity badge, check-diff view, mobile sidebar, auto-refreshing stat counters, series-grouped charts.
One note: on Windows each detached spawn shows as a parent+child pair in the process list — that's normal (they die together); only one process actually binds port 8001, verified healthy.
