§3 helpers compile clean. Commit this (5e-v-b first chunk: split/count/low constant helpers), then continue with the main series bound.
Now the main 5e-v-b lemma. Let me structure it:
**Target lemma**: `seriesFun_norm_le_gapCircle (hZC : ZeroCountProp) {k : ℕ} (hk : 4000 ≤ k) {R : ℝ} (hR : the gap-circle properties) {s : ℂ} (hs : ‖s‖ = R) : ‖seriesFun s‖ ≤ C · (Real.log R)^2 + lowZeroConst`.
Hmm — what exactly do I take as the hypothesis on R? From exists_gapCircle_radius (hZC) (hk : 1 ≤ k): ∃ R, 4k+5/2 ≤ R ∧ R ≤ 4k+3 ∧ (∀ m : ℤ, 1/4 ≤ |R/2 − m|) ∧ (∀ ρ nontrivial, 1/(16Ĉ₀(4k+9/2)) ≤ |ρ.im − R| ∨ 1 ≤ |ρ.im − R|). The bound lemma takes these as hypotheses (or obtains them via the exists inside). Take them as hypotheses for the bound lemma (cleaner).
The split of the series norm-tsum by shells — with the tsum_split_finset helper, the split into the LOW finset (‖ρ‖ ≤ 3) and the complement, then bound the complement by shell-majorants...
Actually — you know what, given the enormous plumbing, let me reconsider ONE more time whether there's a fundamentally cheaper route for the series bound...
**The cheap-route idea**: bound ‖seriesFun s‖ on the circle NOT via the raw series but via the IDENTITY-TO-BE... circular. No.
**The middle route**: bound the series via the junk-free decomposition seriesFun s = (seriesFun s − Σ_{near} m(1/(s−ρ)+1/ρ)) + Σ_{near}(...)... still needs the far part.
OK — accept the full build. But simplify the shell bookkeeping: use NORM-shells with the master bound via a single generic dyadic-sum lemma applied to the zero subtype:
**Generic dyadic-tail lemma**: for the zero subtype and a nonneg function f with:
- f ρ ≤ K·2^{-j}·(1/‖γ‖-ish)...
no — let me just carefully assemble. The pieces:
(P0) low: {‖ρ‖ ≤ 3} (finset lowZeros): Σ_{ρ ∈ lowZeros} ‖seriesTerm s ρ‖ ≤ lowZeroConst — since ‖term‖ = m·|1/(s−ρ)+1/ρ| ≤ m·(1/(R−3) + 1/‖ρ‖) ≤ m·(1 + 1/‖ρ‖) (R ≥ 6.5 ⟹ 1/(R−3) ≤ 1 ✓... 1/(R−3) ≤ 1 ⟺ R ≥ 4 ✓). So the low sum ≤ lowZeroConst ✓ direct.
(P1) the complement tsum: ∑'_{ρ ∉ lowZeros} ‖term‖ — every complement zero has ‖ρ‖ > 3. Split the complement further by the CRITICAL band: {‖ρ‖ ∈ (R−2, R+2)} (a finset — bounded ⟹ finite) vs the rest. And the rest by...
Honestly the nested splits are where the pain multiplies. ALTERNATIVE approach that avoids ALL but one split: bound the whole complement sum by a SINGLE dyadic estimate:
For ρ ∉ lowZeros (‖ρ‖ > 3):
- if ‖ρ‖ ∈ (R−2, R+2) (critical): ‖term‖ ≤ m·R/((R−2)·gap(s)) where gap(s) := min(1/(32Ĉ₀), R/2...) — per-arc.
- else: ‖s−ρ‖ ≥ |R − ‖ρ‖| ≥ 2... — term ≤ m·R/(‖ρ‖·|R−‖ρ‖|).
So: complement-tsum ≤ Σ_{critical-finset} m·R/((R−2)·gap) + ∑'_{noncrit, ‖ρ‖>3} m·R/(‖ρ‖·|R−‖ρ‖|).
The last tsum: split by the SIGN of (R − ‖ρ‖): {‖ρ‖ < R} and {‖ρ‖ > R} — more splits...
OK you know what — the dyadic decomposition is the mathematics; the Lean plumbing per split is ~30 lines with tsum_split_finset; the whole 5e-v-b will be ~500 lines. Just write it. BUT — let me simplify the SHELLS to reduce the count: use the four-part split on the complement of lowZeros:
complement of lowZeros (‖ρ‖ > 3):
- CritFin: {‖ρ‖ ∈ (R−2, R+2)} (finset).
- NonCrit: the rest — handled by a SINGLE dyadic-tail-style bound with the master estimate:
For ρ non-critical and ‖ρ‖ > 3: define j(ρ) := the dyadic class of ‖ρ‖ relative to R...
Hmm, let me think about the non-critical sum: ∑' m·R/(‖ρ‖·|R−‖ρ‖|) over {‖ρ‖ > 3, ‖ρ‖ ∉ (R−2, R+2)}. Substitute shells by j ∈ ℤ-ish... In Lean the cleanest: split into {3 < ‖ρ‖ ≤ R/2}, {R/2 < ‖ρ‖ ≤ R−2}, {R+2 ≤ ‖ρ‖ ≤ 2R}, {2R < ‖ρ‖} — four pieces, each with its own term bound, each bounded via window counts + a geometric/closed-form sum:
(P1) {3 < ‖ρ‖ ≤ R/2}: term ≤ m·R/(‖ρ‖·R/2) = 2m/‖ρ‖: Σ ≤ Σ_{j: 3<2^j ≤ R/2} (count of {2^j < ‖ρ‖ ≤ 2^{j+1}})·2/2^j: count ≤ zeros with |γ| ≤ 2^{j+1}: Ncount(−2^{j+1}, 2^{j+1}] ≤ A₀(2^{j+2}+1)·log(3·2^{j+1}+5) ≤ A₀·2^{j+3}·(j+4)·... : shell ≤ 2^{j+3}A₀(j+4)·2/2^j = 16A₀(j+4): Σ_{j=0}^{J} ≍ 16A₀·J²/2 = O(A₀(log R)²) ✓ — the dyadic sum over j: a FINSET sum over j ∈ range(J+1) with J := ⌈log₂(R/2)⌉₊ — closed form Σ_{j≤J}(j+4) = J²/2 + ... ≤ (J+5)²/2-ish — explicit ✓.

So |γ| ≥ ‖ρ‖ − 1 ✓.

The tsum splits: low/complement via tsum_split_finset ONCE (s = lowZeros); the complement tsum then splits AGAIN by CritFin (finset) via tsum_split_finset applied to the if-zeroed function ✓ (Summable ✓). Then the remaining three tsum pieces (P1+P2, P4, P5) — P1∪P2 = {3 < ‖ρ‖ ≤ R−2}, P4 = {R+2 ≤ ‖ρ‖ ≤ 2R} (finite — finset), P5 = {‖ρ‖ > 2R} (tsum tail). So the splits:
1. low (finset lowZeros) vs rest.
2. rest: CritFin (finset {‖ρ‖ ∈ (R−2, R+2)}∩rest) vs rest'.
3. rest': MidFin {‖ρ‖ ∈ (R/2... — hmm P1+P2 = {3<‖ρ‖≤R−2} is a FINSET (bounded) ✓ — so P1+P2 as ONE finset with the term bound via the two dyadic sub-families INSIDE the finset sum (finset sums split by filter — free!). Similarly P4 finset. P5 tsum tail.
So tsum splits: exactly THREE (low, CritFin, MidFin, UpperFin) + the P5 tail:
∑'_{all} = Σ_{low} + ∑'_{rest}; ∑'_{rest} = Σ_{CritFin} + ∑'_{rest'}; ... each via tsum_split_finset with the cumulative finset (low ∪ CritFin ∪ MidFin ∪ UpperFin as one finset!): ACTUALLY — do it in ONE split: the finset F := {zeros with ‖ρ‖ ≤ 2R} (finite ✓) and the tail {‖ρ‖ > 2R}:
∑'_{all} ‖term‖ = Σ_{ρ ∈ F} ‖term‖ + ∑'_{ρ ∉ F} ‖term‖.
- The F-part: a FINSET sum — split by Finset.filter into the shells (low/critical/inner/upper) — all finset algebra (no summability!) ✓.
- The tail: ∑'_{‖ρ‖>2R} ‖term‖ ≤ ∑'_{‖ρ‖>2R} 4R·m/(1+γ²) ≤ 4R·(tail bound).
So: ONE tsum split (F = the ≤2R finset) + the tail bound (one dyadic tsum analysis) + finset-sum bounds for the four shells. This is MUCH cleaner:
- F := {ρ : subtype | ‖(ρ:ℂ)‖ ≤ 2R}.toFinset (finite via finite_subtype_norm_lt (2R+1) subset ✓).
- tail summability: ∑'_{ρ ∉ F} ‖term‖ — from tsum_split_finset ✓ (built in).
- tail bound: ∑'_{ρ∉F} ‖term‖ ≤ ∑'_{ρ∉F} 4R·m/(1+γ²): pointwise (‖ρ‖ > 2R ⟹ ‖term‖ ≤ 4R·m/(1+γ²): ‖s−ρ‖ ≥ ‖ρ‖−R ≥ ‖ρ‖/2 ⟹ R/(‖ρ‖‖s−ρ‖) ≤ 2R/‖ρ‖² ≤ 2R·(17/12)/(1+‖γ‖²)·... wait — 1/‖ρ‖² ≤ (17/12)/(1+‖γ‖²) needs ‖ρ‖ ≥ 2 ✓ (2R ≥ 32000) — so ‖term‖ ≤ m·2R·(17/12)/(1+‖γ‖²) — with (17/12)·2 = 17/6: term ≤ m·(17R/6)/(1+γ²) ✓. Then ∑'_{∉F} ≤ (17R/6)·∑'_{∉F} m/(1+γ²) (tsum_le_tsum + tsum_mul_left) and the tail ∑'_{∉F} m/(1+γ²) ≤ ∑'_{|γ| > √(4R²−1)}...: ‖ρ‖ > 2R ⟹ |γ| > √(4R²−1) ≥ 3R/2·... let me use |γ| ≥ ‖ρ‖ − 1 > 2R − 1 ≥ 3R/2 (R ≥ 2 ✓): so {∉F} ⊆ {|γ| > 3R/2}-subtype: the tail ≤ ∑'_{|γ|>3R/2} m/(1+γ²) (tsum_le_tsum over the inclusion of subtypes?? — tsum over sub-subtype comparison: `Summable.tsum_le_tsum_of_support...`? hmm — tsum over {ρ // nontriv ∧ ‖ρ‖>2R} vs {ρ // nontriv ∧ |γ|>3R/2}: subtype inclusion: for nonneg functions, the smaller subtype's tsum ≤ the larger's: `tsum_le_tsum_of_subset`? there might not be a direct lemma — use the support-indicator trick: ∑'_{sub-subtype} f = ∑'_{full subtype} (indicator)... This tail needs its own dyadic or integral argument — ~80-100 lines however sliced. OK. Let me look at what ACTUALLY is the least-pain path for the tail: the dyadic version with the ℝ≥0∞ tsum_comm? or...
Actually — the CLEANEST tail: bound Σ_{|γ|>X} m/(1+γ²) ≤ Σ_{j≥0} (count of {X+j < |γ| ≤ X+j+1})·1/(1+(X+j)²) ≤ Σ_j 2A₀·log(X+j+4)·... no wait — 1/(1+(X+j)²) ≤ 1/(X+j)² and Σ_j log(X+j+4)/(X+j)²: with log(X+j+4) ≤ log(X+4) + log(j+1)... no: log(X+j+4) ≤ log((X+4)(j+1)) = log(X+4) + log(j+1) for j ≥ 0 (X+j+4 ≤ (X+4)(j+1) ⟺ j+X+4 ≤ Xj+X+4j+4 ⟺ 0 ≤ Xj+3j ✓): so Σ_j log(X+j+4)/(X+j)² ≤ log(X+4)·Σ 1/(X+j)² + Σ log(j+1)/(X+j)² ≤ log(X+4)·(2/X) + Σ log(j+1)/(X+j)²: the second: log(j+1)/(X+j)² ≤ (j+1)/(X+j)² ≤ ... ≤ (j+1)/(X+j)² ≤ 1/(X+j) (j+1 ≤ X+j ⟺ 1 ≤ X ✓): Σ 1/(X+j) = ∞ — no good. log(j+1)/(X+j)² ≤ (j+1)^{1/4}/(X+j)²·... — ugh constants.
STOP over-optimizing constants. The cleanest sufficient tail bound: use the p = 3/2 trick from the start:
Σ_{|γ| > X} m/(1+γ²) ≤ Σ_{|γ|>X} m/|γ|^{3/2}·(|γ|^{3/2}/(1+γ²))·... hmm no: 1/(1+γ²) ≤ 1/γ² and I need Σ m/γ² over |γ| > X — via dyadic shells IN ℝ≥0∞:

So the tail sum ≤ A₀·(stuff)·(2·2·...) = explicit ✓.
Honestly each of these is a 60-100 line fight. The full tail bound maybe 150 lines. FINE.
Given the scale of what remains (the tail + the F-finset shell bounds + assembly ≈ 400-500 lines for 5e-v-b alone), and this session already being very long, let me checkpoint: commit the §3 helpers (5e-v-b first chunk) now, then continue.
