Task 1.1 committed (df29bb4). Time 13:38. Session has been very productive: Phase 0 + task 1.1. Per pacing rule, it's not near 5pm, but the session has run long. Report 1.1 results and present the fork for next direction. Good point for a break suggestion given session length — but rule says ask near 5pm or when running long. This session has been going ~2.5 hours with lots of output. Let me report and ask.
**Task 1.1 complete** (committed `df29bb4`). The ceiling is now fully understood:
**The 0.682 mechanism (re-derived from the kernel-checked Lean):** an adversarial 256-periodic zero-law exists whose two-moment data matches the sine process to 3×10⁻⁴⁰ on every row, yet only **68.18%** of its points are simple. Any bandwidth-one certificate must respect that configuration — so no such certificate can exceed ≈0.682. The wall is **information-theoretic, not analytic**: the data class itself can't distinguish "all simple" from "68% simple".
**The non-tightness inventory** (what task 1.1 asked for):
- 4 chain losses (from Lemma 3.2 — the {1}/{2} eigenvalue tightness pattern)
- 4 ceiling losses (edge leak 0.824; triangle-inequality loss; marks≤2 restriction; N=256 grid)
- 3 structural gaps (moments >2, bandwidth >1, o(N)-insensitivity)
**Two ideas ruled out with reasons** (permanent knowledge): zero-density estimates can't see depth→0 off-line pairs; bigger LPs only lower the ceiling.
**One genuinely new opening — Idea C:** the ceiling theorem only constrains certificates built from 2-moment data. An *unconditional multiple-zero density bound* (Levinson-style, external input) fed into the chain as an extra constraint on s₂ is **not covered by the ceiling** — a legal side door. This needs a literature check next.
**The fork for next** (in STATE.md):
- **(a)** Task 1.2: SDP numerics over certificates — quantify the 0.6725→0.682 room
- **(b)** Idea C: literature check (per §4A.3) + quantify what a multiple-zero bound buys in the chain
It's 1:38 PM and this session has covered a lot (Phase 0 + 1.1). Take a break, or pick (a)/(b) and I keep going?
